Only a few businesses are on board with Faraja lending for now. Places like Citi Walk, Naivas Supermarkets, and Good Life Pharmacy are giving it a shot.

How to use Safaricom to access Faraja

• Dial *799# to join Faraja.
• Choose Opt-in.
• Enter your M-Pesa PIN to get your Faraja Limit.
• Dial *799#, select Lipa na M-Pesa.
• Enter the amount you want to spend.
• Confirm the transaction with your M-Pesa PIN.

Safaricom will text you about your transaction.

How to pay back Faraja Loan?

• Just dial *799# from your Safaricom line.
• Pick what you want to pay for and hit “Send.”
• Enter your MPESA PIN, then hit send.
• Decide whether to accept or reject.
• You’ll get an SMS confirming everything once it’s sorted.
